In our busy lives, we often find ourselves caught up in schedules, commitments, and the constant need to keep up with the fast pace of modern life: juggling work and the millions things we HAVE to do.
Summer holidays offer the perfect chance to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Take advantage of the longer days and warmer weather by encouraging your children to explore nature, enjoy picnics in the park, or try Geocahing.
And if you have a teenager, enjoy a movie marathon or a trip to explore on of their hobby.
By slowing down, you are more likely to create a relaxed atmosphere that will give you deeper connections and joyful times as a family.
Indeed, don’t forget yourself, says a dad of three grownups.
For any moment to hard to handle I wrote the ‘Survival Tune for a Crazy World’. Find it, inhale the rythm and the melody, watch the flowers and use the playing time of the Survival Tune to reset yourself. And have a new start, while the Survival Tune still echoes in your ears. Maybe you noticed the Survival Tune is not finished yet. There are no words, there are no dance moves and the instruments are limited. Askl your children to add their words and / or their moves. And let them add as many instruments as they like. Finally sing, dance, play the ‘Survival Tune for a crazy world’ together! And I really believe you will survive.
