What does an ADHD coach do?

As an ADHD coach I provide personalised guidance and support to help individuals with ADHD develop coping strategies, enhance organizational skills, improve time management, and build self-awareness. I work collaboratively with each client to identify their specific challenges and develop customized strategies to address them.

Key areas of focus for ADHD coaching:

  1. Energy management: It is very common for Adults with ADHD to go in cycles of hyperfocus leading to burnout. I work with clients to understand what the triggers and signs are and put strategies in place to avoid repeating these kind of cycles.
  2. Goal setting and planning: I help my clients set achievable goals and create realistic action plans to achieve them.

  3. Organization and time management: I can teach strategies for organising workspaces, calendars, and personal belongings as well as time management techniques to stay on top of tasks, avoid procrastination.

  4. Executive functioning skills: I can also address the core executive functioning challenges associated with ADHD, such as working memory, impulse control, and multitasking.

  5. Stress management and emotional regulation: ADHD can often lead to increased stress and emotional challenges (relaxation and mindfulness, stress reduction techniques)

  6. Self-esteem and confidence building: ADHD can negatively impact self-esteem and confidence levels.

FAQ

Coaching can help you gain clarity and achieve your goals.

ADHD coaching typically involves a series of individual sessions with an ADHD coach. The frequency and duration of sessions can vary depending on individual needs and goals. The coaching process typically follows these steps:

  1. Assessment: The coach conducts an initial assessment to understand the client’s ADHD symptoms, challenges, and personal goals.

  2. Goal setting: The coach and client work together to set clear  goals.

  3. Strategy development: The coach helps the client develop personalized strategies to address their specific challenges and achieve their goals.

  4. Implementation and support: The coach provides ongoing support and guidance as the client implements the strategies and tracks their progress.

  5. Evaluation and adjustment: Regular check-ins allow the coach and client to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies as needed.

A coaching session is primarily a conversation.

You simply come as you are and I will help you overcome your mindset blocks, navigate your emotions and clarify where you want to go.

Coaching is not therapy.

I am not here to revisit your past or advise you in what would be best for you. You already have the strength and knowledge within you. I will help you to rediscover them and put in place new Strategies in a sustainable way.

We can work together for a few sessions to unlock a particular block or work longer to explore more deeply on where you want to create deep transformation.

Working for 3 months together will allow us to discover where you are at in your life, what your values are and how they serve you.

What my clients say

I took part in a 12 week One of Many program with Peggy as my coach. The interactions came at a point during last year when I was coping with a lot in both my personal and professional life. I was low in energy, with very changing moods and feeling lost. The biggest impact has been in giving my previously racing mind total peace. I would recommend stepping through this program to anyone feeling they have lost their way in life. I am certain that the outcome is also down to Peggy's skilled approach in listening and open questioning. So jump right in !
