What is ADHD Coaching, and why could it be the support you’re looking for?

Living with ADHD can be both a gift and a challenge. You might feel full of creative energy, bursting with ideas, and ready to tackle the world on some days.

But at the same time, the struggles with focus, time management, and overwhelm can feel like they’re holding you back.

If that sounds familiar, ADHD coaching could be the game-changer you’ve been searching for.

What is ADHD Coaching?

ADHD coaching is all about helping you understand how your brain works so you can work with it, not against it.

Together, we’ll create strategies that fit your life and make sense for you. It’s not about trying to be “more organized” or “more productive” in a generic way, it’s about figuring out what you need to feel grounded, focused, and in control.

Unlike therapy, which might focus on unpacking your past, coaching is about moving forward.

It’s practical, it’s tailored to you, and it’s designed to help you start feeling more confident and capable right away.

How We’ll Work Together:

Here’s what working with me as your ADHD coach might look like:

  1. Understanding Your Unique Brain: We’ll start by exploring how ADHD shows up for you. Together, we’ll identify your strengths and the specific challenges you face so we can build strategies that play to your strengths.

  2. Regulating Your Nervous System: One of the biggest challenges with ADHD is feeling overwhelmed or stuck in cycles of burnout. I specialise in helping you manage your energy and emotions so you can stay calm and grounded, no matter what life throws at you.

  3. Building Practical Systems: We’ll create tools and routines tailored to your life. Whether it’s managing your schedule, tackling procrastination, or learning how to prioritize, you’ll have a toolkit you can rely on.

  4. Developing Emotional Resilience: Through mindfulness, movement, and embodiment practices, we’ll work on building emotional balance and self-confidence. These practices can help you feel more in control and less reactive to stress.

  5. Ongoing Support and Accountability: Change doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. I’ll be there to support you every step of the way, providing gentle accountability and celebrating your progress as you go through Whatsapp or emails.

Imagine waking up in the morning and feeling calm instead of overwhelmed by everything on your plate. Picture yourself moving through your day with clarity and focus, knowing you have the tools to manage your time and energy. Coaching helps you feel lighter, more in control, and empowered to create the life you want.

You’ll notice the difference as we work together—no more endless cycles of burnout or being stuck in overwhelm. Instead, you’ll have the confidence and skills to manage your ADHD in a way that truly works for you.

Why Work with Me?

When it comes to ADHD coaching, here’s why I might be the right fit for you:

  1. Specialising in Nervous System Regulation and Energy Management: I know that one of the biggest challenges with ADHD is feeling stuck in overwhelm or cycling through burnout and exhaustion. I specialise in helping you regulate your nervous system so you can manage your energy, stay grounded, and avoid those crushing lows that can make everything feel impossible.

  2. A Holistic Approach: Beyond the practical strategies, we’ll also focus on your emotional and physical well-being. I draw on tools like mindful movement and embodiment practices to help you feel more connected to yourself. These tools are powerful for calming your mind, managing stress, and staying in balance.

  3. Compassionate Support: I personally understand how challenging ADHD can feel at times, I only got my diagnoses in my 40s. I have also been working with ADHD adults for a few years now. But I also know how much potential you have, and I’m here to help you unlock it with zero judgment and a lot of encouragement.

  4. Tailored to You: ADHD looks different for everyone, and what works for someone else might not work for you. That’s why we’ll work together to create strategies that fit your life. Whether it’s managing your schedule, breaking free from procrastination, or learning how to say “no” without guilt, we’ll build a plan that feels right for you.

  5. Convenient and Flexible: Life can be busy, and I get that. That’s why I offer online sessions that fit into your schedule, so you can get the support you need without added stress.

Practically, what does it mean?

I normally work weekly or biweekly to start with while we put the foundations in place. We then evaluate how often would work best for you to keep making changes while getting support through accountability and further awareness. Between sessions you will be able to contact me either through whatsapp or email if you need further support.

I always recommend to start with 6 sessions to explore and put in foundations for change. But can also work for longer with clients who want to have more ongoing support or want to work on more goals.

I usually recommend 1hr sessions but some clients have occasionally prefered 90 minutes sessions. In the first session we will assess what your needs are.

In the first session, I will ask you questions to assess what are the areas of your life that you would like to make a change in and create a clear program to help you. Do not worry.

For the first 2/3 sessions, it can be useful to be have them a week apart. Following this either weekly or biweekly depending on how you prefer.

If you want ongoing support, monthly might be sufficient.

“Peggy has really taken the time to understand me. She has highlighted areas for me to explore in such a supportive way, and reminded me of certain tools to ensure that my habits became ingrained. I truly feel that she's my guardian angel.”

Funded coaching

While you can start coaching tomorrow privately, it is worth seeing if your employer would consider funding it under their wellbeing or learning and development budget. Alternatively, you can apply for an Access to Work Grant which can provide funding for ADHD coaching. It can take 6-9 months after application to get contacted but is worth doing.
